Today has been the most fantastic day ever! I woke up to it raining... And the temperature is changing, so it's more spring rain than anything else. And spring rain reminds me of when I was little in Ohio and my sisters and I would sit out on the front porch with blankets and watch the thunderstorms. We would 'Oooo' and 'Aaaa' at the lightning, but when we heard the thunder we would scream and pull the blankets over our heads. I know it sounds dorky, but I don't care. That is one of my fondest memories of Ohio. But then, I have a lot of fond memories of Ohio. I don't know that I have any bad memories of Ohio.
Anyway, it rained all day up until I went to the Temple. I have never been in and out of the Temple so quickly, but the parking lot was packed. There were only four YSA's that went, and there weren't a lot of other people there, so I felt a little bit rushed. But overall, I love the peace I feel when I go to the Temple. All my prayers are answered by attending the Temple. It sounds cliche, but it's true. I even receive answers that I didn't know were worrying me. And that is why it is so amazing.
After the Temple, it started snowing. And, although it was beautiful, I wouldn't want to drive in it again. Poor visibility, HUGE snowflakes, and people don't know how to drive in the snow. Ha ha. But it certainly was beautiful. It changed back to rain later, and once again to snow before it stopped about a half hour ago. It was so beautiful. It was like Heavenly Father wanted me to have the most perfect day, ever. So he gave it to me.
Oh, and spring rain means that my favorite flowers are about to come up... Tulips and daffodils. Happy day!!!
