I rock.

So, tonight, I was playing Lightning for FHE with a few members from the single's ward.  Okay, let me back up.  So, tonight, FHE was supposed to be a bunch of sports... Rather unorganized...  I played indoor soccer for a little bit, and then, I got upset that no one was playing. And of course, Neil was sitting on my coat and purse, so when I went to leave because I was upset, he got some people to play lightning... Tiffany, Trent, Andrew, and two other girls whose names I still don't know.  I'm terrible with names...

First things first.  I stink at lightning.  I get lucky.  It's like my mini golf game the other night, where I won at two under par.  What?  How did that happen?  And it showed in the first many games of lightning.  I was always one of the first people to get out...  Thankfully, the last round, Neil got Trent out right away... Which, if he hadn't, I would not have been out first, yet again... I think I got Andrew out... I may have simply imagined that, but that's how I remember it.  And then, Tiffany got out... Once again, I think... My memory of what happens first and last are always better than what happens in between... Anywho, Neil told me that I had to go back to the three point line, and I was sure he was going to win, since he was shooting after me... But somehow, I won!!!  I'm super happy about that!!! Even if he was going easy on me!!!  I don't care!!! I beat Neil!!!  I totally won!!!

Ha ha ha!!! So today was a good day!!! :-)  I had a great morning/afternoon... Watching my niece and nephews always brings a smile to my face!!!  I accidentally made my nephew, Kadin, do most of his homework for the week.  I couldn't understand why his teacher would send home homework if he wasn't supposed to do it and return it... But it did seem like a lot of homework...  It wasn't until later that I read the newsletter that said he wasn't supposed to return any of it until Friday...  You know, after he did most of his math homework and part of his spelling homework, and vocabulary...  Oops.  Lol.

Oh, and my nails have been breaking off.  I don't even realize it when it happens.  I told Sterling about it, and she looked at them and said it was weird that they're breaking off without taking any of my natural nail with them.  Three broke off in my sleep.  I think another one must have broken off when I was playing lightning, but I honestly don't remember feeling anything, so it could have broken off while I was fixing dinner and I wouldn't have noticed.  I told Sterling about it, and I said that instead of having them fixed, I would probably simply let them break off, and get them redone at a later time.  She said how weird it was, and I said, maybe it's God telling me to be content with what He's given me.  She laughed at that.

So today = awesome.

Drama, Drama, Drama....

So, life in a single's ward is simply full of drama.  And I've decided that I don't want any part of it, and by saying that, I'm probably going to cause more drama than I ever wanted to be involved in.

I've noticed a couple of guys paying attention to me more than they have in the past.  One, his face lights up every time we bump into each other, on what I assume to be is accident, but you never know with men, one has been talking to me more often than I would have expected, and another seems to have only recently realized I exist, but appears to enjoy my presence, because he comes up to me and talks to me quite often.  If any one of them were to ask me out, I would feel like I'd be committing a sin if I were to accept.  But I would accept.  I don't care who likes them, who doesn't like them, or who's best friend thinks who is hot.  I think they are all respectable men, all with bright futures ahead of them, and I'm not looking for a husband right now, so I see nothing wrong in accepting a date invitation, if one should HAPPEN to come my way.  Which, I'm not expecting it to, seeing as how the men in my ward don't take the initiative.

So, did I just commit social suicide in my ward?  I don't care.  I like people.  I haven't been on very many dates in my life, and a VERY small percentile of them have been what I consider good.  I want opportunities to go on dates. I just want to have a good time with good people.  I'm not purposefully stepping on toes!!!  And plus, I haven't stepped on any toes, because no one takes the initiative to ask anyone out in the ward, and I certainly am not going to ask anyone out.  Not even if I feel like I should after a dream I had.

I'm still looking for employment.  I've been trying to find something that would be good for me.  Something on the production or distribution side of things, but I haven't been having much luck.  There's one I heard about today, but I don't know that I could work the hours, even though the pay is good.  Pray for me, that's all I ask.

On another topic, I find it horribly sad that my nephew comes running to me when something goes wrong...  I love being the one to hold him, kiss him better, comfort him, and whatever else I need to do for him... But it shouldn't be me.

The bishop gave a great lesson today.  One of his questions really hit home for me:  Why is it so hard to say, "I love you,"?  I know if I would have learned that lesson a long time ago, I would be in a much different spot in my life.  But you know what?  I've decided that I really enjoy being single.  I love not having to worry about the financial burden of putting someone else through school... I think that's my biggest thing...

Anyway, I think it's time for me to go to bed now.  Goodnight world.  I hope you enjoyed my ramblings tonight.

Even Superman...

So, I've been thinking about one of my old favorite songs recently, by Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band...  It's called, Even Superman.  Kinda quite obviously...  The lyrics are below.

When he saw her face, he thought that nothing could go wrong
Then he saw here smile, he used to be so very strong
'Cause even x-ray eyes could not realize
That everybody loves and everybody falls
And everybody, everybody feels this way

Chorus

Now Lois Lane feels safe because he's flying up above
But would he save the world and never hold his one true love
Then she had a dream, woke up with a scream
Saying everybody hurts and everybody falls and everybody, everybody feels this way

Chorus

When Lex Luthor saw that this weakness made him strong
The diabolic plan was in effect before too long
'Cause even giants fall, and every dog eventually has his day
And Achilles has a heel and even bones of steel can break
And even Superman, even Superman, even Superman, even Superman

Chorus:
Even Superman has kryptonite
And though he tries with all his might
Even Superman falls to his knees
Begging please, please, please, please

It's ironic though, because Superman isn't my favorite hero.  Sorry, but he's not.  Batman is.  And don't even try to tell me how much better Superman is.  Because Batman could beat him in a battle.  Batman carries around kryptonite with him in his utility belt.

But that's not the reason I posted this.  I posted this because tonight, I had a great night with a good friend.  I felt the need to go over to a friend's house tonight.  I wasn't feeling the greatest, and I knew that I needed to be in the presence off someone who didn't really care if I didn't talk much.  I simply needed to feed off of someone's energy.  I need to do that once in a while.  I've been having trouble recently with feeling adequate.  It was nice to go there and not be judged.

Another song of Ryan Shupe and the Rubber Band that I absolutely adore is Dream Big.  "Because when you dream it might come true."  I won't bother you with all of the lyrics like the last one, but I love that statement.  I've always thought my dreams were obnoxious and didn't make sense, but I love to dream them.  It breaks my heart when people laugh at my dreams.  There's always been something so magical and fulfilling about my dreams, whether or not they come true (which, most, by the way, do come true).

They have a lot of good songs.  "Would you love me, if it won't hurt you at all?"  Sometimes, I feel like a freak, because I love knowing that I'm loved.  I think it's the best feeling in the world.  I try my hardest to let other people know that I love them, too.  I try to come off as genuine, because I am.  I love people.  Even those I don't know very well.  Especially those who's faults I know inside and out.  I love those people, and I want them to know how happy I am to know them, even if they will never see this.  I've seen the Atonement work wonders in the lives of so many people.  I've seen people making choices that take them from the path.  And I love them anyway.  I can't not love them.  Especially when they are the people who need our love and support more than anyone else in this world.  I have felt the love of my Savior and my Heavenly Father countless times in my life.  It's the least I can do to love my spirit brothers and sisters, even if my love isn't perfect like theirs.

What I should do and what I want to do are two different things.

So what am I doing?  Neither of them.  I'm blogging instead.

I want to be watching some television episodes that I'm behind on.  I think.  I'm not entirely sure, because television has let me down recently.  In fact, I haven't watched much television since my nephews made me watch 14 episodes of Scooby-Doo, in a row, only to do it again for half of a week straight.

I should be in bed.  I have a nail appointment tomorrow morning... I don't know how long I will keep my nails up.  I think I'm going to be a fill model and then I will probably get them removed.  Or file them down and break them off.  Or simply let them grow out.  Anywho, I shouldn't be on here.

I've been thinking a lot recently (I know, scary, isn't it?).  While I'm not happy with my situation, I am happy with my life so far.  And it's been hard for me to come to that conclusion.  A lot has been happening with my life.  And while I consider this blog to almost be a journal of mine, I won't go into detail about the events that have happened.  I've been frustrated.  I've cried.  Things I don't like doing.  But I am happy.

It's been difficult to put things into proper perspective, because I feel like I've been swimming through murky waters.  Which is ironic, because I hate swimming.  Well, not hate.  I don't like to swim when I'm around people because I don't like the way I look in a swimsuit.  Which will hopefully change as soon as I start P90X.  Anyway, I had some wise council last night:  What is the most pressing matter?  Think about that, then think about how soon it will really create havoc in your life.  Then, you'll realize that it's not as bad as it seems.  While it may be hard, it will only cause us pain if we let it.  And even then, Isaiah 53:4-5 states,

"Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

I have always loved those words.  Why do we fight with ourselves to come closer to our Savior?  Why is it so difficult for us to want to be healed?  I know why.  Mosiah 3:19 states,

"For the natural man is an enemy to God, and has been from the fall of Adam, and will be, forever and ever, unless he yields to the enticings of the Holy Spirit, and putteth off the natural man and becometh a saint through the atonement of Christ the Lord, and becometh as a child, submissive, meek, humble, patient, full of love, willing to submit to all things which the Lord seeth fit to inflict upon him, even as a child doth submit to his father."

I used to think that I was being boastful when I would pass off all of the scripture mastery scriptures in Seminary.  I never thought that those scriptures would come to me in the moment I need them most.  My Heavenly Father truly loves me.  I'm trying.  I know I'm not perfect.  I don't say any of these things to boast.  I say them so that I can organize my thoughts and become a better person by doing so.
I've been worried about dating.  Why?  Because I haven't had the best experiences in my life, and, who knows?  Maybe I'll have the chance to in my new ward.  But I won't worry anymore.  If the men from the single's ward like me, they'll ask me out.  If not, oh well.  I know who I am, and if the men of the single's ward don't realize who I am, then they don't deserve me.  I am an O, rolling along, as happy as can be.  And thank you, my dear friend Mandy for helping me realize who I am.

Blog 643.214

Okay, so I'm not good at coming up with titles.  I thought that should be obvious with my previous posts.  And I have quite a lot to talk about.  Lots has happened in my life since last I blogged.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday passed pretty much uneventful (other than watching my niece and nephew) last week.  Friday, I got my nails done for the first time by Sterling.  She did FAN-TAS-TIC!  Later that evening, I went to 'bowling.'  Ha ha ha.  Alissa invited a whole bunch of people to go, and we got there to find out that they have league bowling on Fridays.  So we played a round of putt putt instead.  And apparently I won.  What?  I'm the one that stinks at this.  Jen was the one that said she was pro.  I was the one that said that I really stink at it.  I really don't know how that happened.  I sure had fun though.  I hope something similar happens to that soon.  It was great fun!

Saturday was the adult session of stake conference, and afterward, Bishop Doxey took as many as would come out to eat at Red Robin.  It was pretty awesome.  I have never seen so many people show up for an adult session of stake conference in my life.  Given, I've only had 3 and a half years of going to the adult session of stake conference...  Ha ha ha.  Me and being a young'un.

Yup.  I'm 21.  And I don't care that I'm not married yet.  What?  How can I be a member of the LDS church and be happy with being single?  It's very easy.  I know who I am.  I know that I am a daughter of God.  And it hurts me when I post a picture of my nails on facebook and have someone comment that I don't have a ring on my left ring finger.

Okay, sorry for the tangent.  Back to stake conference.  The Sunday session was held at the Tabernacle in Ogden.  It'll be the last time it'll be there for a few years, seeing as how they're demolishing the Temple to rebuild it, and removing the spire from the Tabernacle.  The Temple President and Matron were our guest speakers at this session.  I learned so much from them.  I loved the chance I got to eat in the Temple Presidents dining room.  I will never forget that experience.  The old Ogden Temple will always hold a special place in my heart, as the first Temple I have ever been to.  It still is the only Temple I have ever been to, but that will change coming April 1st.

The Temple President mentioned the Atonement.  How that is the gospel of Jesus Christ.  How we can learn more about the atonement if we go to the Latin or Spanish word.  I don't remember the exact words in Latin and Spanish, but the English equivalent is reconciliation.  It means, "to sit down with God again."  Again.  Meaning, we've been there before.  And through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can sit down with him, again.  How glorious of a principle that is!  "We believe that through the Atonement of Christ all mankind may be saved by obedience to the laws and ordinances of the gospel."  Is it any coincidence that that is the third article of faith, while the next gives you the first principles and ordinances of the gospel?  "We believe that the first principles and ordinances of the gospel are first, faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, second, repentance, third, baptism by immersion for the remission of sins, fourth, laying on of hands for the gift of the Holy Ghost."

The Temple President also mentioned that in Doctrine and Covenants 128:11, summum bonum means highest good.  It's amazing what little insights like that can make to the scriptures.  He was talking about how important it is to do work for our dead.  How wonderful that the family life exists beyond the grave!  How wonderful it will be to see loved ones that I have lost!  That day of resurrection will surely be glorious!

I have bittersweet feelings about the Temple being redesigned.  But I know all things happen for a reason.  The Lord has his great and eternal purposes.  I've heard many people outraged by the oncoming renovations.  I will not complain though.  I know there is wisdom in this matter.  And I trust in my Heavenly Father.

Dodgeball...

So, last night, we played glow-in-the-dark dodgeball as a YSA activity.  It was awesome.  The only bad part about it was at the beginning you couldn't see when the ball was coming, and how hard it was... So, it hurt... A lot...  But at the end, they turned on all of the lights and we played regular dodgeball instead.  Which was quite fun!  However, I am bruised all over from it.

I came home tonight from babysitting two of my nephews and one of my nieces to take a shower and get clothes and whatnot.  So... Yeah, I'm in the shower, and my sister bangs on the door and tells me that my nephew can't make it downstairs to the other bathroom.  And, by the time I got out of the shower, I'm sure he could have.  And I got yelled at for it.  Yup.  I've loved living in Clearfield this past week.  I've loved watching my brother's kids.  I hate being at home.

So, if you would like to help me, I am in dire need of employment so that I can move out.  It'll be so simple to move out once I do find employment.  It's nice to have my own place.  Kinda.  Well, you get the point.

Also, one more rambling... Does NO ONE know that the speed limit on 3500 in Weber County and 2000 in Davis County is 45 mph?  Not 25.  Not 30.  And not 35.  45.  Is that too difficult of a concept to grasp?  Or am I asking way too much?  I mean, not even the UTA bus would go the speed limit.  25, the entire way from Clearfield to Roy!

Bunches of stuff

So, last night, after my wonderful little post (not really), I got upset and went to Search and Rescue for my ward, because I knew I needed a break from reality.  I walked into the doors of my church, and I was volunteered for teaching a missionary discussion with Alex Greenhalgh.  What?!?!  I totally freaked out.  So, he and I left to go to teach this discussion, and it went SURPRISINGLY well.  I had never taught one of these discussions before, but I felt the spirit SOOO strong.  I was surprised at how much I had to say.  I shouldn't be, because I'm always able to discuss the gospel with ease.

Well, after the discussion, we went to go do the search part of search and rescue.  Ha ha ha.  Funny story, and I can't even tell it right, but I'll do my best.  Alex decided that we needed to go to one house because it was a Bishop's referral.  So, I thought I typed in the address in my GPS right, and we followed it to the house.  Well, we got there, knocked on the door, and I thought it was the wrong house, before the lady answered the door.  We asked her if we could shovel her sidewalk, because we accidentally got the wrong house.  After she declined, we started to walk to the house next door... Realizing that it was the wrong number as well.  We went back to his truck and realized that I had typed in the wrong address for my GPS, and we had originally knocked on the right door.  So, we go back, embarrassed as all get out, knock on the door again, a little girl answers the phone and we hear, "Shut the door!"  Hahahaha...

Then we decided to walk down the street to a couple of other houses that were on the road.  The lady that initially answered the door was staring out the window at us the entire time.  It was SOOOO funny!  And I don't think Alex will ever take me on search and rescue ever again because of that blunder!!!

Then, afterwards, I went to watch the Elder's quorum basketball game.  It was a GREAT choice, and I'm going to start going every week because of the band they have.  Yeah, it's Ben Simmons on the trumpet, Aaron Calder on the drums, and someone else on the tuba.  Ha ha ha.  And Ben's shouts are more entertaining than the game...

This may be my last blog for a while, because I'm going to start babysitting at my brother's house while he's in Mexico.

Would it be too much?

Would it be too much to say, "Get the **** out of my house!  You aren't welcome here!!!"  or even, "DON'T INVITE YOUR SEX PARTNER OVER HERE!!!!!!!!!!  WATCH YOUR SON!!!!!!!!!"

I'm sick of living in this house.  Yes, I am.  I'm sick of putting up with Crissy's CRAP!!!!

I wonder what she will do when I refuse to watch her son, when I, somehow miraculously get a job without her knowledge.  I'm terrified for my nephew.  I truly am.  But unless I get full custody of him, I cannot take care of him!  I don't have a job!  I can't get him the basic necessities of life!  I can't get me the basic necessities of life!  I never wanted to be a mother before I was married and had children of my own!

And yet, here I am.

On a completely different subject, I was talking to a good friend recently, asking her what she got for Christmas.  She told me, and as she told me, I realized that, I should be jealous.  According to the world, I should be jealous, because she got a whole bunch more than me for Christmas, and they were REALLY nice presents.  But I'm so happy to have gotten what I did.  I'm so happy I haven't been the spoiled brat that all my siblings think me to have been.  If anything, it's the squeaky wheel that gets the grease, and that's been either Crissy or Charla.  Not me.  I'm so grateful to have done without.

I don't care if any of you believe me either.  I just get a bunch of emotions welling up inside of me and I have to write, and handwriting isn't fast enough for all my thoughts to spill into words.

Being sick stinks.

So, I'm sick.  I have been for a few weeks now.  A few as in four, not eight.  I'm on antibiotics, which usually make me incredibly ill.  However, it took 5 of 10 days for me to start to get really sick this time.  Not bad, when it's usually within the first 24 hours of antibiotics that I get sick.  However, it stinks.  My stomach is super upset.  I don't feel like eating anything, however, I have to eat because of the medication that I'm on.  Boo.

I tried listening to music today.  That's what I used to do to get my mind off my pain.  There's a lot of music on my ipod that I don't remember having on there.  Ha ha ha.  But one of my earbuds is broken.  LAME.  It's nice though, because I pretend like I can actually hear when I have my earbuds in.

I need to go clothes shopping.  I have a $20 gift card to pennies that I haven't spent yet, 'cause I haven't felt well since Christmas.  Awesome, right?  Not so much.  I hope tomorrow is better.  Especially because I'm babysitting tomorrow.  As a sort of trial-run for my brother and his wife who are leaving the country for a week.  I'm a bit jealous.  I don't even have my passport right now.  I don't have any way of making money right now, because my sister won't get a job so she can pay a babysitter, causing me to have to babysit my 4 year old nephew all the time (even when she's home), so that I can't look for a job.  It's absolutely ridiculous, but I'm too nice of a person to say anything about it.  And, while my brother is paying me $100 for babysitting his kids, I'm spending a week there.  I hope it's worth it.

I'm a chicken. And if I were Lizzy, there would be another word added on the end...

So yeah.  I know I said I wasn't going to ask guys out anymore.  And then, last night, I had this weird, crazy random dream.  And I decided to ask someone out.  And I'm a freaking chicken, and have had some of the best opportunities to ask him out, but I'm a freaking chicken!!!!  I recently decided that I'm happy being single, too...

I don't even know if he likes me.  I don't know that I want him to like me.  I don't even know if I like him!  And yet, here I am, debating on how I'm going to ask him out!  And I lied, I do like him.  He's a good person.  I'm the worst at this!!!!  What is wrong with me?!?

And I've had the song taking chances stuck in my head... "What do you say to taking chances?  What do you say to Jumping off the edge?  Never knowing if there's solid ground below, or a hand to hold, or hell to pay... What do you say?"

I got some German chocolate tonight.  I wasn't entirely expecting it.  But I'm happy I got it.  Erdbeer Joghurt.  And for those of you who don't speak German, that's strawberry yogurt.  Has it calmed me down?  I don't know.  But it sure is good. :)

There's so much on my mind, I don't really know where to begin.  The dream I had last night really bothered me.  But what can you do?  My dreams, when they're like that, are usually indicative of something to come in my life.  And they tend to terrify me, because I never know exactly what they mean until after the event(s) take(s) place.  I can feel that big changes are about to take place in my life, and I really don't want anything bad to happen.  I'm a little bit numb... Like I something bad is happening, and I don't know what to do yet...  Like it hasn't set in yet.  Like when I was a first-year beehive at girl's camp and a girl fainted into the fire.  I was the only one that wasn't immediately screaming or crying.  It took hours, and days for the tears to come.  Like when my Uncle Bob died.  That was the worst reaction I ever had, but my reaction was delayed for that, too.  It took me two days to cry, but then it was months before I had a night without crying.  I still will cry for him sometimes...  Especially coming up on the anniversary of his death, aka, my sister's birthday, aka, Martin Luther King Junior day.

I don't even know where I'm going with this blog.  I thought that if I started typing, my thoughts would become rational and they really haven't.  I guess that means it's time to end it, before I confuse you even more.  Although, I'm doubting that anyone will read this.  It seems to be something that people will check after you post one thing, but don't really follow...

The Calm Before the Storm

Okay, so Sacrament meeting went really well today.  I gave my talk, and I didn't have time to get nervous for it.  My wonderful father told me he saw an angel standing behind me.  I don't doubt him, because I've seen that angel there before.  Well, not while I've spoke, but while others have spoken.  It's reassuring to know that you're saying the things that Heaven needs you to say.  I didn't rehearse half of my talk.  I didn't even have most of it written down, even in outline format.  I'm sure you could tell when I was speaking from my heart, because I stuttered over a few words.  But I said what I needed to say.

It was quite funny though, because at one point, I asked the congregation of young single adults if they were texting.  Yeah, about six heads popped up.  I'm pretty sure they were texting.  Ha ha ha.

Family seems to be the conversation topic today.  I have 3 nieces and 4 nephews, and I don't get to see 2 of my nieces and 1 of my nephews very often, and it's hard for me.  I don't think I'll ever have any more nieces and nephews, though, so it's sad.  And my nieces and nephew that are in Ohio... They're growing up so fast.  My oldest niece is 14.  She's only 7 years younger than me...

Then, there's the dead to remember.  My wonderful Grandma Parks died 15 years ago last month.  This Saturday, it will be 3 years since my favorite Uncle passed away (I'm pretty sure it's 3 years, if I'm wrong, someone, please correct me).

Today, I talked to a childhood friend of mine.  She recently lost her grandfather.  And then, there was the wonderful woman from my home ward that recently passed away.  Death is a hard thing to deal with.

That's why I'm so grateful for the gospel.  I'm so grateful to know that our family relationships can continue after this lifetime.  I'm so grateful for the hope of being able to see my Grandma and my Uncle again, and maybe possibly meeting my Grandpa.  Family is so important to me.

Today went off relatively without a hitch.  So, have my biggest trials recently passed?  Or is this the calm before everything gets ridiculously crazy?  I don't know, but for the first time in a long time, I'm excited to see what will come, even if it's difficult to go through.  I know something good is coming, no matter how long I will have to wait.

Nervousness and Other Things

So, there's quite a bit coming up for me... And, rather than post all my worries on facebook, I decided to create a blog that probably only my family will ever read.  That's okay though.  I like being stalked by my family.  I think.  Although, those of you, like David, who only look but do not comment to me until we're in the middle of a conversation two weeks later... That's a little bit creepy...

So, tomorrow, I will be going to a friend's homecoming talk at 11, running over to my church afterward to be there at 12:30 to practice a song that another friend will be singing in Sacrament meeting, starting to play prelude on the organ at 12:45, playing the organ during Sacrament meeting, and giving a talk right after the Sacrament.  Awesome, right?

My biggest worries for tomorrow is that I won't say the right thing.  The topic is near and dear to my heart, and in the past I've had trouble speaking on topics that are such.  I don't mind speaking.  Not at all.  In fact, I asked the Bishop repeatedly before he gave me my speaking assignment.  Now I know I won't have to do it for a couple more years... And I'm hoping to be married by then, so it'll all work out good!

I'm not saying that I have any prospects for marriage.  I don't right now.  All the men in the single's ward are giving me mixed signs, and I don't know how to read them.  It's all quite frustrating.  I'll simply wait for them to ask me on a date, if they're so inclined.  I'm sick of asking guys out.

So, I went to charge my Kindle, because my printer is almost out of ink, and I'm giving a talk tomorrow, right?  Yeah, the plug in part of the stupid charger is missing.  Awesome, right?  Yeah, not so much.  I'm not a huge fan of the new USB adapter/chargers.  They get lost too easily.  And now, my new LG Vortex has the same kind of charger.  LAME!!!

So, I'm living and/or dying by technology tomorrow.  Rock on.  We'll see what happens.

Oh, and I'm a bit frustrated with my new phone.  I'm not having much luck on getting the battery to last more than 14 hours.  Which is difficult for me, because I always seem to be plugging in my phone.  My last phone battery lasted upwards of a week!!!  Now my dad has it... Did I really need to upgrade to a smartphone?  I don't know...

It's nice though.  At night, I've been reading my scriptures on it.  I've been trying to make it through the Book of Mormon again, while studying the New Testament... And I've had help on the New Testament.  I gave my Dad the scriptures on CD, and I've been listening to them, when I get the chance to.  Given, my hearing hasn't been the best recently, and I've been praying that I'll be able to hear again soon.

It's been quite terrifying, not being able to hear.  I'm on so many drugs right now, because I finally went to the doctor, but my hearing (if it's possible) seems to have gotten worse.  So, keep me in your prayers, okay?  I don't want to spend the rest of my life living in my own little world like I have been this past week or so.  People will be talking to me and take offense because they think I'm ignoring them, when in all reality, I can't hear them.

So yeah, I think that about sums up all my worries right now.  I really am a happy person.  I promise.  I hope to prove that to you in my future blogs.

And if you made it this far in my ramblings, congratulations!
