Ward Newsletter

I've been chosen to be spotlighted (spotlit?) in the Carriage Point YSA ward newsletter.  They ask you questions and attempt to get you to answer someone seriously so that people in the ward that secretly think highly of you for one reason or the other can stalk you in some way other than facebook or my blog.  Why?  I don't know.  I guess it's one of those things that people do.

Anywho, I intend to answer these questions on my blog.  Maybe later I'll add the picture that I'm planning on sending in, too.

Favorite Food:  I'm one of those super picky eaters.  I was pescetarian for a while, but I've recently added other meats back into my diet other than fish.  That being said, I am a HUGE fan of sushi.  I love it, and I believe that anyone who says they don't like it hasn't had a good experience.

Favorite Quote:  "Sisters, we love you. We pray for you. Be strong and of good courage. You are truly royal spirit daughters of Almighty God. You are princesses, destined to become queens. Your own wondrous story has already begun. Your 'once upon a time' is now." -President Dieter F. Uchtdorf, "Your Happily Ever After," (March 27, 2010)

Interesting Fact:  I'm writing a book right now.  I'm hoping to get it published by the end of the year, but it won't be a traditional book.  I hope to make people think differently about reading.

Hobbies:  I love making people laugh.  I love stepping outside of my comfort zone and meeting new people, no matter how they respond to me.  I obviously play the piano and organ decently well, but I am a novice at the violin and the guitar as well.  I love singing and dancing, and I am the type of person who believes that anyone can sing or dance.  I believe we're all born at different levels of greatness.  Those who are truly great will kick against the pricks until they have mastered a small portion of what others have been born with.  And that greatness is within each of us, waiting for us to use it.

Wow.  I guess I answered those more sincerely than I thought I would.  I might use those as the real answers I turn in to the newsletter.

So the snow tonight = awesome.  Except for driving in it.  I hope that I'll be a better driver now that I've driven in such rotten conditions by myself.

Oh, and one last thing before I go.  There's one thing about texting that I don't entirely get:  the exclamation point.  I mean, it's great to use if you want to yell at a friend and say, "I FREAKING LESS THAN THREE (< 3 = <3) YOUR GUTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"  I have a hard time reading it in a sentence and deciphering if someone is being serious or sarcastic.  There's so much lacking in text.  That's one reason why I wish to change the way people think about reading...
